Here is a picture of our new pickup, just bought today and our temporary home. We had wanted to get a new pickup before Rob is deployed next year, if you knew Rob with his pick-up, then you would know it was hard for him to let it go. But we had to do something since our van is not the best at getting through snow, or up snowy hills, and in Casper they do not plow roads when it snows, only the main ones. We wanted to have 4x4 that we could all fit into. That was a big reason into selling our home now too, not the snow, but Rob's pending deployment with the National Guard to Kuwait next year. It will be nice to get all of that done this year and be able to enjoy our time up until the time he leaves, next April or May. When we put our house on the market and it was sold in five days and we closed last Friday, which was just under a month from when we put it on the market, but now we are able to buy our land soon and get our home ordered. So until our home is ready to go we are in an RV, the kids are really enjoying it, I have been working a little extra and then we are all able to get out and get some space and that helps a lot. I think Rob and Emma just took off for a ride in the new pick-up...

Planting Flowers

I do not have much of a green thumb, but I hope some day I will plant some flowers/shrubs/trees. Our friend Dianne was watching the kids last week and she needed to get her flowers planted and Rob was at home packing stuff before our move, so I stayed at Dianne's for a little (so we could keep out of his way) and we helped get her flowers planted. Garrett got to taste black dirt for the first time, in our yard at our house all he ever got was sand. I really think he thought it was chocolate, I saw him look at his finger and then stick it in like it was full of chocolate. I think the last picture of Emma looking at her hand full of mud was priceless she is not used to being too dirty. It's a good thing we plan on moving out of town, so she will have more experiences at it.

Moving Day
Today is the big day. We are moving out of our house, closing day is tomorrow. It came up on us really fast, we actually moved it up a week from orignally scheduled. That way we will be able to get things going quicker with our new home. We are still trying to make things work with the land we want to buy, so nothing will be moving along with our home until that is all finalized. Emma and Garrett are taking their final naps now, and as soon as they are up we will move the rest of the stuff we will have with us in our "temporary" home.
Wish I could show some pictures, but not really sure where my camera is, go figure!

Church service tonight
We had a church service this evening, for the purpose of meeting our potential new music/associate pastor. There were about 30 of of there and for him to get to know us we went around and said our names and then something unique about ourselves. It was getting close to us and I could tell Emma wanted to say her name, so told her she could go after Linda (who was right next to us).
Emma: "I'm Emma. I live in Wyoming."
It was so cute because I did not tell her to say the part about Wyoming, she just picked up on what everyone else was saying. When it got to me I was able to say I like the Vikings and I got a new Adrian Peterson jersey this year. I threw the jersey part in since my friend Annette said that she likes the Cowboys and got a new Emmett Smith jersey this year.

Quote of the day
I was going to make a sandwich for Emma and she keep saying, " I want the tinkerbell butter."
I kept asking her what tinerbell butter was and finally she told me it was up in the cupboard. So I lifted her up to show me. It was the "Peter Pan" peanut butter. Took me a little while to catch on.

I want to go back to our new home
Since we arrived home late Friday night (we did not plan on being home untill tonight) from our trip we were able to do a little house hunting today, if I have not updated you our current house is close to being under contract. We are looking for something a little bigger than 2 bedrooms. Today we went and looked at the land that we are thinking about buying. It is a small subdivision out of town, about a 4 acre lot and it has an awesome mountain view, and you are allowed to have animals. No more than two horses and other animals are allowed, "as long as they do not bother your neighbors." Then we also went and got some estimates on what it would cost for a home there. When we got back to our home Emma said to me, as I was trying to get her out of the van, "I don't want to go to this home, I want to go back to our new house." Poor kid she is so confused after staying in a hotel for the past 5 days and then looking at new homes, but I think both kids are enjoying sleeping in their own beds again tonight.
