Sick Emma

Emma had a fever this evening, and she does NOT like her face to be wet, and would not take a wet washcloth. So I finally thought of giving her a cold pack and I had a Nemo one in the freezer. She loved it and came out of bed a half hour later and was nice and cooled down. She told me, "I had Nemo on my face". So I was going to put it back in the freezer and she was yelling from the bedroom, "I want Neeeemo". She got Nemo back and fell right to sleep.

LASIK

I have been a little busy this week. I had LASIK surgery done last Friday. I am seeing 20/20 as of the next morning. Rob and I went to Ft. Collins and stayed with Caleb and Sharon on Thursday night down to Denver in the morning. We got a hotel by the LASIK center since I had to stay for follow up in the morning, then headed straight back for our kids (our good friends Tony and Karin had them). Then I have been home with sick kids ever since we got home. So please pray for Emma, she has not been well.

I've got the stockings on!

I just saw this picture again today, so even though this was almost three months ago I just wanted to share it. We were getting the Christmas stuff out and I sat the stockings aside while getting the other things out. Next thing I hear from Emmma, "I got the stockings on" She likes to be silly for the camera, always has to do something with her arms.

Valentine's Day

My friend Karin and I put together a party for Valentine's at my house and invited two other moms with little children. So we had 7 little kids under 3 years old at my little house, it was a blessing. I will share some of the precious pictures with you. The kids had a great time decorating cookies and popping ballons.

Skiing with a 2 year old

We had the great opportunity of taking Emma skiing today. It only lasted about an hour for her, but it is something that I have waiting forever to do (long before having children I dreamt of taking them skiing). If she wants to go again this year we may take her, but otherwise we may wait until next year.

Caleb is here for the weekend and he is the "I-wegian" in the camo jacket, since he saw that was going to be 40 degrees in Casper he didn't think he needed a coat. He used Rob's hunting jacket. It is really neat here, in Casper, that we may have no snow in town, but up on the mountain (about 6 miles away) there is about 5 feet of snow and about 15 degrees colder. It snowed pretty hard up there today. Our mini-van even got stuck while trying to leave the parking lot.

It was a great experience!

Do they have a potty for me?

Getting ready to leave for our trip to visit my sister-in-law in Rapid City this weekend:

Emma- "Will they have a potty for me?"

Betsy- "Yes, they will"

When we arrive 4 hours later Emma runs into the bathroom and I go in to check on her:

Emma-"They do have a potty for me!!"

We had a great visit, were able to watch some basketball games. Emma even ran out on the court one time to see Aunt Jennifer.
I was a little nervous traveling 4 hours alone with the kids, but they did really great watching DVD's, looking out the window, and eating goldfish crackers.
Garrett enjoyed being passed around and played with by his older cousins.
The only thing I forgot to bring with us was our camera, so I have no pictures to show : (

Having fun inside

The kids and I took a trip to Rapid City this weekend. We left Gus (our dog) with our friends Tony and Karin, so this morning Karin brought him back and she and Colbin stayed over to play for the morning. We decied to make a fort for the kids to play in (Emma had been rolling herself up in blankets and Colbin tried to join her which she was not fond of). Garrett thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.

The first pictures were another windy day in Casper, so we were coloring, Emma has the markers that will only mark on a special book and Garrett was just enjoying taking them out of the box and putting them back in. For the past month this has been his favorite activity with when ever he finds. Clothes in drawers, books on the shelf, clothes in a laundary basket, toys, it is entertaining to see him be so serious and work at this very tedious activity of his.
